Veil was written many years ago and was the anthem to my youth. The term “veil of life” is an analogy used to help describe the need for us to often have a different outward appearance than what we are wanting to do with our lives on the inside. Enjoy!
lyrics
Can you feel the warmth, of your body tonight,
Can you feel your soul, in the light,
Listen to the drums, pounding out are you whole,
Do you know who you are, or are you alone.
Yeah so listen to the wind,
Calling you their saying come, come, come
The veil of life, it bestirs your mould.
Yeah the time has come,
Well your life’s begun,
Yeah your worlds a trap,
For all those in slum,
Well someone’s given you the right,
Yeah to be who you are,
But you’ll have to make a choice,
About who’s side your on.
Yeah so listen to the wind
Calling you their saying come, come, come
The veil of life, let it bestir your mould.
Can’t you see what you want to be,
Your a little wooden toy, on a puppets rope,
Doing your time for democracy,
You will never get back the time and sweat that you,
